Pristine Marine
knows the effects of a fouled hull. Instead of a smooth, clean hull slipping through the water, marine growth creates drag,
reducing speed. Extra demand on engines to maintain speed means increased fuel use, an added cost regardless of vessel size.
Fouling is the result of marine growth, a constant process which begins between one and four months. Fouling occurs even on
a newly painted clean hull treated with the best toxic paints. On bare aluminum and painted hulls, if left unchecked, growth
continues until the anti-fouling coat or the aluminum metal is penetrated where finally the hull itself is damaged. Tests show a fouled
hull can increase fuel cost by 15% - 20% or more. Pristine
Marine’s Commitment to Protecting your investment: Monthly
Bottom Cleaning performed by experienced divers with quality materials designed to clean the bottom of your boat and preserve
your bottom paint as long as possible. Monitor Zinc Condition each time your boat is cleaned.
Pristine Marine divers are specially trained to understand and recognize corrosion while examining your underwater metal,
fittings and zincs. We require our divers to attend a corrosion control seminar annually. Our staff includes mechanical divers
who specialize in zinc replacement. - Monthly Reports in writing indicate your paint and zinc condition and anything else
we observe about the condition of your boat bottom. A copy of the report is left on your boat and another copy is mailed or
emailed with your invoice.
Quality Control is a
